This class focuses on basic machine maintenance, Quilter’s “Must Have
Stuff” to introduce the serious quilter to basic tools, new products
and techniques that will aid in quilting, design creativity and pattern
marking and making. Basic threads and tension will be discussed.
Business information will also be shared including work order/estimate
forms, pricing, business insurance and how to handle the difficult
customer. Wholesale and retail suppliers as well as reference and
pattern books and copyright issues will be discussed. Informational
handouts will be provided. This class is for those truly interested in
methods to help improve skills and those interested in long-arm
quilting as a business. Information on tools, products and techniques
provided will then be able to be taken home and applied to increase
skills.
Cost: NO CHARGE to those who have purchased their machine from Boersma’s, $60.00 Fee if purchased elsewhere.
